The Role:

  • This is a highly progressive opportunity for a Healthcare Advisory Associate to join the firm's L500 Tier 1 department in Newcastle, with hybrid working in place
  • You will join a close-knit team of specialists, with a focus on mental capacity law and mental health law
  • As such, you will advise on general healthcare matters including Mental Capacity Act/Mental Health Act matters; represent healthcare clients in Court of Protection s21a challenges; draft applications for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards authorisations; undertake advocacy at inquests and court hearings; effectively represent NHS clients
  • As an Associate, you will also supervise and delegate work to other members of the team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Healthcare Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE
  • Experience in Court of Protection and Inquests work is essential
  • Well-organised and proactive
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
