A vacancy has arisen with a leading regional firm at their Otley office for an experienced Legal Secretary to support their fee earners, predominantly with Wills & Probate work. 
 
This role sits within a family friendly firm who promote a healthy work life balance and flexible working environment.
 
The successful candidate will be an experienced audio-typist who takes pride in their accuracy and standard of work. They will enjoy dealing with clients, being helpful and professional when doing so, and have experience in probate work. The successful candidate must be willing to undertake a variety of tasks and be able to stay calm and prioritise work effectively while doing so. The role will be sat at the firms front desk therefore some reception duties are also required. Ideally the firm would like someone approachable and helpful to promote the image of the firm confidently.
 
KEY TASKS
  • Audio-typing
  • Dealing with the branch post and DX
  • Reception Duties
  • Producing documents from the Case Management System
  • Dealing with telephone queries or taking messages when appropriate
  • Keeping clients and other parties updated with progress of matters
  • Assisting solicitors and executives with matters at all stages of the transaction, from file opening to archiving in accordance with office and accounts procedures
  • Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from the clients and other parties

EXPERIENCE
  • Previous secretary experience within wills & probate is desirable
  • Audio-typing
  • Case Management System experience (highly desirable)
