Managing Legal Counsel, Financial Crime

A large and respected financial services company is looking to recruit an experienced financial crime lawyer to head up a small team and drive forward the financial crime agenda from the legal perspective. Working on the transformation programme and change projects, you will be the subject matter expert on all areas financial crime, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption. This role sits within the bank's litigation department and forms part of a highly regarded legal and regulatory division. You will work closely with senior management, the boards and various stakeholders on policy, strategic matters, investigations and litigation but will also be providing support and training across the business, as well as managing a less experienced lawyer.

This position comes with accountability and the post holder is therefore required to be sufficiently senior and experienced. We would expect the subject matter expert to hold at least 7 years’ experience with a high level of technical expertise.
