Locum Planning Lawyer / Senior Lawyer

London Borough Council

Hybrid/Remote Working

Are you an ambitious Planning Lawyer looking for a locum position within a respected local authority? Sellick Partnership are working exclusively with a well-regarded London council to assist them with adding quality staff to their reputable Legal department.

The position would be ideally suited to a Planning Lawyer with at least 3 years' PQE who is confident acting with minimal supervision. Our client will consider applicants who have worked in-house for a local authority, or who have dealt with local authorities from a private practice angle.

The successful locum Planning Lawyer will be joining a well-organised team and council, with robust systems and processes in place. Previous and current locums in this council have always provided very positive feedback about the council and management.

The client is ideally looking for someone who can attend the office one day per week, however this is negotiable and there can be more flexibility for the right candidate. Please note that you are not required to cover committee meetings.

This role will bring challenge, autonomy, opportunity and is highly rewarding. You will have the chance to be involved in high-value, interesting projects. For the successful Planning Lawyer, this role could also provide long term prospects for those who are open to considering permanent opportunities down the line.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive pay
  • Hybrid or remote working
  • Flexi-time

If you have the necessary skills, ambition and experience for this locum Planning Lawyer role, please apply now. Our client is looking for a quick appointment so availability and speed of response is crucial.

Should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
