A market leading corporate US Law Firm is looking to hire an Accounts Coordinator to join their Accounts team in their Chancery Lane based offices. This is a great opportunity which has arisen due to business growth. The firm offers an agile working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, whilst offering a salary of up to £33,000, as well as a great list of benefits.
This unique well-rounded role will require the Accounts Coordinator to assist in both the management reporting, including cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting but also with the financial accounting and taxation analysis. The Accounts Coordinator will be exposed to many day-to-day business reporting tasks as well as year-end activities. This would likely appeal to someone with an ambition to pursue an accounting qualification.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly management information: for the Managing Partner, COO, Partners and Directors of Business Services
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Firm’s cash flow
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, with a focus on expenditure and tracking throughout the year
• Assist with the preparations of accruals, prepayments and fixed assets schedules for the London LLP and Paris LLP
• Assist with the preparations of accruals, prepayments, intercompany and year end schedules for Properties Ltd
• Assist with the preparation year end and audit schedules
• Assist with the preparation of the partnership tax schedules
• Assist with the preparation of the annual PSA return
• Management of new vendor set ups
• Assisting with client account transactions, liaising with lawyers, including: preparing receipt and payment forms and communicating with lawyers, Partners and the bank
• Ad hoc business development and Partner reports
• Other ad hoc reporting queries from time to time
They are keen to hire a legal finance professional with minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy finance function in a law firm, preferably supporting on management accounts. Require experience includes: some previous accounts experience in a law firm or professional services, good working Excel knowledge – formulas, vlook up etc., good analytical and reconciliation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
