Salary: Grade 11 £40,578 - £44,624

Hours: 37 hours per week 2 year fixed term with potential for extension

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled legal professional, to provide advice on a diverse range of employment and education legal matters, to also include a small caseload of civil or criminal proceedings from time to time, working alongside a collegiate and supportive team.

You will have excellent communication skills and be motivated to support the Local Authority in the above specified areas in a wide range of cases. Local Authority experience is an advantage, but not an essential requirement. Applicants who wish to be considered for a secondment opportunity must have the prior permission of their employer.

Training and development will be provided in areas where the successful candidate may have less experience. Mentoring and support from experienced legal colleagues is available in areas where an applicant has less experience. The Council is committed to professional development and personal improvement.
