An opportunity has arisen for someone with at least two years relevant conveyancing experience. To be successful the candidate will be able to demonstrate a desire for conveyancing and plot sales, the ability to hit the ground running, work to tight deadlines, work well within a team, and also be confident in taking on their own responsibilities whilst receiving supervision and training.

Description
- Handle a varied caseload of in-house shared ownership plot sales, shared ownership resales and staircasings from start to finish to include receiving instructions, sending a contract, lease and legal pack to buyers' legal representatives, review and approval of mortgage offers, review and adequately dealing with enquiries, progressing to exchange and completion, dealing with all exchange, completion, and post completion formalities.
- Assist with the preparation of the Site Set Up and the Legal Pack including collating all relevant information, and drafting the contract and lease, with supervision.
- Review and approval of Site Set Up documentation and transaction documents from external solicitors in respect of all plots not dealt with in-house.
- Checking sales documents received from external solicitors.
- Handle administrative duties including analysing and inputting data, organising and maintaining documents on the electronic filing system to include updating the in-house plot sales tracker, the external solicitors progress tracker and recording savings and income on each plot sale transaction.
- Update internal records with the progress and terms of each plot sale transaction and Site Set Up
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the sales department, the project delivery department, the home ownership department, the external estate agents, external solicitors and the legal team
- Assist with post completion matters e. lease review, staircasing and re-sales, as and when required.
- Conduct legal research
- Draft correspondence and documents
Profile
- Law degree or alternative degree followed by Graduate Diploma in Law
- Relevant conveyancing experience, ideally relating to residential development and/or the social housing sector
- Knowledge of shared ownership plot sales
- Clear and effective communication skills in both oral and written English
- Ability to organise and prioritise own work load
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Hard working, self motivated, eager to learn
- Ability to meet deadlines and deal with time pressured projects
- Ability to use IT systems, Excel knowledge is a must
- High level of attention to detail
