Are you a Newly Qualified or Junior Childcare Lawyer looking to develop your expertise in a well-regarded London local authority?

If you are a Newly Qualified or Junior Lawyer with experience in childcare law then you do not want to miss out on this fantastic opportunity! We are working with a reputable and thriving council to help them find a proactive Newly Qualified Childcare Lawyer to join their welcoming and friendly team on a locum basis.

This is an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend on a rolling basis. This council pride themselves on their training and progression opportunities, they keep locums on long-term as they look to progress you within your career. They offer predominantly remote working but require the successful candidate to be in the office once a fortnight for team days.

The Newly Qualified or Junior Childcare Lawyer will hold a caseload of child protection matters, including:

• Care cases
• Pre-proceedings
• Attending Legal Planning Meetings
• Liaising with counsel and other legal parties
• Working with and advising social workers

Some prior relevant experience in child protection is desirable for this role, but any legal background is welcome, i. private practice or public sector.
