TRAINEE PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER - REMOTE WORKING
£22,000 - £30,000

Due to continued success and demand, my client have an exciting and rare opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to pursue a career within Personal Injury Law. The successful candidate will be provided with full training on a remote working basis and will be fully equipped to develop them into Personal Injury Fee Earners. Following a period of training, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of Personal Injury claims.

The Opportunity
As a Trainee Lawyer you will join the firms Sub £10k team which will involve a full range of training to get you up to speed and progressing through the 4 trainee stages as quickly as you can develop. 

  • Level 1 - Running cases up to settlement or issue (Salary - £22,000)
  • Level 2 - Running cases up to settlement or defence (so would issue proceedings) (Salary - £24,000-£25,000)
  • Level 3 - Running cases up to settlement or trial - running a number of cases through full litigation process (Salary - £26,000-£28,000)
  • Level 4 - Running a predominately litigated caseload (Salary - £29,000-£30,000)
     

 

Job Description

 

  • Managing own caseload of primarily fast track cases
  • Pursuing claims through MOJ portal and personal injury protocol to settlement or issue of proceedings, making full use of our case management system
  • Potential for pursuing claims in litigation to Trial, dependent on experience
  • To comply with the Directors expectations of time recording and financial targets
  • To work within a team environment
  • Communicating with clients, insurers, expert witnesses and solicitors
  • Reporting to team supervisor
     

The Candidate

 

  • This opportunity is open to candidates from as little as 6 months experience in personal injury claims, to those with more experience doing either some litigation or wanting to move into litigation
  • Ideally you will have previous claimant personal injury case handling experience (EL/PL)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Highly efficient and organised
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A Level or degree in Law and/or pursuing CILEx qualification
  • Good tactical understanding of working in fixed fee environment
