LITIGATION EXECUTIVE - REMOTE WORKING
£35,000 - £42,000
Due to continued success and demand, my client is seeking an experienced Litigation Executive to support Senior Fee Earners with their busy caseload of high value claimant Multi-Track Personal Injury claims. The successful candidate will work on a fully remote basis and will be provided with everything they need to work from home.
Job Description:
- You will support the main Fee Earners in the CAT PI team on cases worth over £100k in value (Main bulk of claims will be EL/PL, but the caseload will be mixed including some RTA and Military claims).
- Taking initial instructions from clients and preparing draft witness statements.
- Preparing draft letters of claim.
- Diarising and ensuring compliance with court timetables.
- Liaising with experts ,counsel, clients and other general enquiries as required.
- Attending in conference with counsel in person and on the phone.
- Taking witness statements re liability and quantum.
- Researching quantum and other issues as required.
- Preparing court documents including claim forms, schedules of loss, particulars of claim, lists of documents etc.
- Instructing and briefing counsel.
The Candidate:
- This often suits someone wanting to gain more experience in high value work and looking to take a back step from the pressure of running their own caseload.
- Qualifications and/or experience to demonstrate clear ability to be successful in an Assistant position (At least a Grade B Fee earner).
- Good knowledge of legal practice and should have an understanding/ experience of the MOJ portal, litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Initiative and dexterity of thought: cases are rarely straightforward.

- A good mathematical, analytical brain.
- Excellent communication skills.
