Locum Employment Lawyer – Remote Working – Up to £50 per hour (Umbrella) –West Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are thrilled to be recruiting for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join a large Local Authority based in the West Midlands. This assignment is offered for a period of 3 months and will be worked on a remote basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with previous Employment Law experience gained within Local Authority to become a part of a well-established public sector organisation.

Daily duties may include:

• Representing the client before Tribunals, Courts (including higher Courts) and at internal panels
• Advising on employment matters (both contentious and non-contentious) and representing clients in employment tribunals
• Handling employment tribunal claims including cases of whistleblowing, unfair dismissal and discrimination
• Providing advice on matters relating to employment issues affecting the client, including general employment advice
• Advising senior managers and HR professionals  on a range of employment law issues

A rate of up to £50 per hour umbrella is offered for this position. Candidates will be considered on a case by case basis, and the hourly rate shown will be dependent upon levels of experience – there may be a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.
