Are you a Junior or Newly Qualified Contracts Lawyer looking to develop your expertise in a well-regarded London local authority?

If you are a Junior or Newly Qualified Lawyer with experience in Contracts and Procurement law then you do not want to miss out on this fantastic opportunity! We are working with a reputable and thriving council to help them find a proactive Junior Contracts Lawyer to join their welcoming and supportive team on a locum basis.

This is an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend on a rolling basis. This council pride themselves on their training and progression opportunities, they keep locums on long-term as they look to progress you within your career. They offer predominantly remote working but require the successful candidate to be in the office once a fortnight for team days.

The Junior or Newly Qualified Contracts Lawyer's responsibilities will include:

  • Holding your own caseload - supervised
  • Handle contracts and public procurement reports
  • Advise on a variety of legal contracts
  • Deal with low-level contract disputes
  • Attend meetings with clients

Some prior relevant experience in contracts and procurement within Local Authority is desirable for this role, but any legal background is welcome, i. private practice or public sector.
