Are you a Project Finance Lawyer within Energy & Infrastructure, perhaps wanting to step up your regional practice or leave the City whilst maintaining your work quality? Join Bristol's leading team, sitting firmly at the forefront of the industry.
The Firm
Top 50, with an abundance of Legal 500 ranked teams and colleagues across all notions of Commercial law, the firm's gravity perpetuates regionally and within the national market in terms of quality, service and legal expertise.
One of the leading Commercial firms outside of the City, their longstanding excellence has been awarded nationally by Chambers UK (70% of Partners are specifically Chambers ranked) and the Legal 500 within numerous areas of law.
Working in the Bristol office or fully hybrid, you'll take advantage of a balanced team structure, approachable leadership and paralegal support, and the use of technologies ensuring your time is used efficiently.
The Role
2+ Project Finance Lawyer to join Band & Tier 1 team within a Bristol Top 50.
A strong team of industry experts, they act for both borrowers and lenders when often bringing first-of-their-kind projects to life. Renowned for their delivery and broad expertise, the team enjoys exposure to a wider array of technologies in Energy, including but not limited to on/off-shore wind, solar, EfW, wave, tidal, nuclear and geothermal - an enviable mix.
In parallel, you'll work to bring projects to life in Defence, Highways, hospitals and EV infrastructure, a two-pronged role. Given the firm's stature, much of its work and reputation come from its cross-border activity.
In a time of growth, the headcount is set to further expand strategically in the coming years to meet the demand within transactions that more often range from £20-£200M, though often exceeding this to £1B.
You'll have a pivotal role in supporting those more junior within the wider Banking & Finance unit, whilst working alongside Partners to bolster and generate relationships. Open to those at all levels, this is an opportunity to be on the right side of growth and reap the rewards this brings.
The Requirements
- 2+ PQE experience in Project Finance. No PQE ceiling in place, given the need to meet growth with talent.
- Ideally, knowledge of LMA documentation
- The ability to think creatively in response to problems with a fast-paced dynamic
- Ambition and drive in terms of increasing expertise and career progression
- Confidence in liaising with clients and nurturing existing partnerships
