Sole In House Counsel - IT/Commercial

THE COMPANY

A fast growing international tech company, offering an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

Client Contract Management and Review - you will work closely with the Sales Team on client contract negotiation

Data Protection Compliance - you will lead the EMEA data protection strategy including data transfer initiatives to third countries, and keep up to date with global data protection impacts

General legal advice & providing timely, commercially-relevant legal advice on a range of issues that arise in a SaaS business (including privacy, data security, IP and supplier contracts)

You can be based at home or in any of the company's EU offices the ideal candidate will be keen to meet face to face with key stakeholders from time to time to build relationships.

ABOUT YOU

A lawyer with at c 5pqe, you will have solid Data Protection and contract negotiation experience preferably in SaaS

UK, Irish or EU qualified (with UK experience and having completed the transfer qualification)

You will be closely supported by the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel (based internationally) and may need to join some global legal team meetings most likely in EU early morning time (ie. 8am).

French speakers would be of interest.
