Our client is a prestigious US law firm - they are now looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join their lovely HR team in London.

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing a comprehensive HR administration service to the London Human Resources function in relation to the employee life cycle, including: recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, reward and recognition and HRIS.

Essentially the HR Assistant will be providing administrative support for their lawyers, trainees and legal staff throughout the whole employee lifecycle, plus additional responsibilities on other generalist HR tasks.

The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is highly Competitive + Benefits. This role is a permanent position and the client are currently using a hybrid working approach (3 days in the office, 2 from home).

Responsibilities as a HR Assistant will include:

  • Providing administrative support for the recruitment process
  • Coordinating the new hire process and prepare the relevant HR paperwork
  • Coordinating the new hire induction process
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies
  • Maintaining holiday records, sickness absence and all other forms of absence
  • Updates the payroll amendment spreadsheet in accordance with monthly deadlines
  • Supporting the HR Advisor with the administration of all staff benefits
  • Obtaining documentation for right to work in the UK checks
  • Ensuring accurate new hire / new contractor / job changes /l eave of absence / leaver instructions are provided to relevant support departments
  • Responding to all forms of reference requests
  • Updating and maintaining the HR filing system

Requirements as a HR Assistant include:

  • Previous HR Admin experience gained from within Professional Services
  • Previous HR Admin experience gained from within a Law firm would be advantageous
  • Understanding of basic HR processes
  • Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised with the ability to multi-task
