Your new company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal counsel to join this innovative global manufacturing business as Regional Counsel. Based in their Oxfordshire office, you will support their commercial legal function across the EMEA region.

Your new role

This is a fast-paced role in a busy in-house legal team, dealing with a diverse range of commercial and legal issues. Reporting directly to the Regional Head Counsel EMEA, you will play a key part in a supportive and collaborative team where you will have the opportunity to work on key strategic legal issues for this technologically focused global leader. You will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance as directed by the Regional Head Counsel and supporting our client's commercial legal function within the EMEA region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional support across EMEA (primarily in France and Italy) on a wide range of commercial and strategic legal issues
  • Drafting contracts, bespoke agreements and a variety of other legal documentation as required.
  • Provide cross-functional legal support in compliance with laws and regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards
  • Dealing with corporate governance
  • Supporting legal counsel in the Americas and APAC regions as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client is looking for an experienced legal counsel ideally with experience of advising large businesses with complex international interests and supply lines. Due to the nature of the role, language skills would be a distinct advantage - particularly in French, German or Italian. The ideal candidate will also have experience both in-house and in private practice. The ability to manage a heavy workload and an in-depth understanding of how legal issues affect a rapidly growing organisation is essential.

What you'll get in return

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative legal team, passionate about the work they do in a key development sector of the future. You will enjoy exposure to key stakeholders from global groups across the business. Our client offers the opportunity to learn and grow, as well as the opportunity to build a stimulating, long-term career with the business.

As well as an encouraging work environment, a competitive package is on offer for the right candidate. You will be based out of our client's Oxfordshire offices, however hybrid working is encouraged, with some flexibility for remote working.
