A top 70 law firm have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join them as a Team Leader in their outstanding Real Estate Department, focusing on large scale residential development matters.

The Firm

This is a very exciting opportunity to work for a long-established, Top 70 law firm who specialise in providing legal services to businesses and private individuals, both in the UK and internationally. The firm pride themselves on their collegial-style culture and their ambitious growth strategy, which seeks to attract and retain some of London's top talent in upcoming years.

Lead by L500 recommended Lawyer's, the firm's Real Estate Department is one of the largest in London. Client care is at the focus of everything that they do, and this role would entail working with a team of Paralegals to ensure services are provided effectively and efficiently.

The department can be responsible for up to 10,000 active files at any one time, on behalf of well-known large-scale property developers. Developments range from 8 - 1800 flats, and the workload is distributed across the wider team.

The Opportunity

This role would be suitable for a confident and proactive Solicitor with a keen interest in residential development matters and the passion to lead a team responsible for handling large caseloads with a specific focus on residential development sales.

The focus of the role will be to ensure a team of Paralegals provide efficient and effective client services, whilst also handling:

  • Any post completion issues which may arise
  • The co-ordination of all aspects of the conveyancing sales process from end to end in keeping with client expectations and deadlines
  • The management and development of a team of Paralegals (each handling up to 100 files per day)
  • The maintenance of up-to-date client matter schedules

The role may also involve handling a small number of high-end client development projects including the set-up of the development documentation.

There will also be an active role played by the appointed Solicitor in all business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Between 2 -4 years' PQE
  • Experience in completing end-to-end high volume residential property work
  • Previous experience in supervising and managing team members
  • The ability to develop new business and maintain client relationships
