THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pragmatic and driven, part-qualified Patent Attorney to join this highly-regarded intellectual property team. Applications for the position will be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis. The intellectual property team is growing rapidly and has attracted a very broad range of clients ranging from international heavyweights to local high-tech SMEs. The variety of work that will come across your desk as a result of working for a full-service law firm is what sets this role apart from working for a specialist IP attorney firm. The role will encompass working closely and directly with a broad range of local and international clients on a range of matters, and in addition to work ranging from drafting and prosecuting patent applications, you will be working with colleagues in different areas of law to negotiate commercial agreements, business strategy and advising on a broad range of contentious matters. You can therefore expect to grow your capabilities and skill-set quickly.

THE CANDIDATE:
You will be a part qualified Patent Attorney with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science. You will have experience in patent drafting and prosecution and have the ability to work across a diverse range of technologies. You will be passionate to deliver succinct, high quality advice with excellent client and team communication skills. The ideal candidate will also have an eye for detail, work with high levels of accuracy and possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising effectively.
