Senior Commercial Lawyer

An opportunity has arisen within the legal team of one of the most recognisable businesses in Manchester. The organisation works across a number of sectors and require a Senior Legal Counsel to join their existing team of 5 based in South Manchester.

Reporting to the Head of Legal your role will involve providing legal advice and support in respect of a wide range of commercial contracts and legal issues for all areas of the business.

- Commercial contracts, including drafting, negotiating, advising and dispute resolution;
- Data protection, intellectual property, competition law, litigation, regulatory issues, corporate governance, acquisitions etc;
- Build and manage relationships with colleagues across the business;
- Support the general development of Group Legal Services and contribute to management information reports on legal services articulating added value; and
- Manage a large, varied and at times fast-paced workload efficiently and to use process improvement to drive efficiency wherever possible.

This is a varied role which would suit a commercial lawyer with 3-5 years PQE, if you have less PQE than this but have worked in-house or on secondment and feel ready to take on an autonomous role then please do get in touch.
