Law Costs Draftsman

A multi award winning law firm are currently looking to recruit an experienced Law Costs Draftsman to join the firm’s first class, specialist Costs department in their Liverpool Office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the work they do, the service they provide and getting the best results for their clients.

You will be required to have previous law costs experience and be responsible for preparing indemnity schedules during litigation, and bills of costs for clients.

Duties include

• Dealing with Solicitor to own client costs cases / advising on client contributions to legal costs
• Drafting of bills of costs / indemnity schedules
• Dealing with Fixed Costs disputes
• Preparing points of dispute/replies
• Provide costs advice/guidance to fee earners as and when required
• Conducting negotiations
• To liaise and advise fee earners and support staff in relation to a variety of costs matters
