Our client is a US specialist asset manager with a special focus on complex performing and non-performing credit on behalf of commercial real estate lenders and investors. Following the success of their UK launch, the EMEA Head of Legal is seeking a mid-level real estate finance lawyer to join their expanding Legal & Compliance team.
The Role
You will focus on closing major deals where the business is acting as the Facility Agent and you’ll both work with external counsel in relation to reviewing, drafting and interpreting relevant finance documents. You will provide ad-hoc pragmatic legal advice and assistance to the wider EMEA team where you’ll be required to work autonomously on exciting projects.
The Candidate
Must be a UK-qualified banking & finance lawyer with a minimum of 2.5 yrs PQE having some working knowledge of loan servicing, ideally focused within The EU market. Knowledge of securitized products, particularly in relation to the role of the servicer in CMBS and CLO transactions, is beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and on tight deadlines.
