Your new role

• Probate and Estate administration
• Succession planning through advising on wills, variations, inheritance tax, deprivation of capital, trusts, and assets transfers
• Trust advisory, creation, and termination
• Asset protection
• Creation and management of powers of attorney
• Monitor work progress and ensure appreciate client communication and colleagues
• Develops relationships with partners and managers across the service lines to encourage work
• Contributes to internal newsfeeds to advise colleagues of the services provided by the legal team
• Build and sustain relationships with external organisations and individuals to build a profile in the community and win new work
• Ensure a high level of client service from self and colleagues
• Where appropriate, the role will involve acting as PM and Product Lead/ Assistant Product Lead on Legal Service products and identifying training needs for self and colleagues
• Manage and enable best performance from the support team
• Network to heighten personal and firm profile, public speaking, cross/up selling firm's services, contributing to marketing initiatives including social media presence
• Scoping and budgeting effectively for all client work
• Ensure client work is managed within budget and billed in a timely manner

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid private client experience focusing on tax, wills and probate
• Ideally 2 + years PQE qualified solicitor in England & Wales but also can consider CILEX or Senior Paralegal experience with over 10 years experience in tax, wills and probate desk
• Proactive and hands on, and managing client independently
• Can be in Canterbury or Chatham office at least 2-3 days a week
