Are you a frustrated Senior Associate / Legal Director who cannot see the route to partnership within your current practice?

We are working with a national law firm who are embarking on a strategic growth plan in Birmingham and are looking to recruit a Banking Partner as part of this. The firm is on the major Bank panels and you would be joining an office with a strong Corporate offering.

You would be part of a national Banking practice but would be the go to person in Birmingham. The firm is looking for somebody who enjoys business development and believes that they could grow a practice. They are not looking for somebody with a client following (although this would of course help) and salaried Partnership is potentially on the table for a Senior Associate looking to step up into their first Partnership role.

You will be given autonomy and support to help grow the offering. The firm appreciate that this will not be achieved over night, so you will be given time to develop the Banking team. There will be plenty of opportunities to leverage of existing work within the firm and supporting Corporate colleagues on deals.

The firm has a track record of recruiting senior lawyers who potentially do not have an immediate following and these people have been given patience and resource to grow.

The national head of Banking is happy to meet candidates on an informal business in the first instance to give an overview as to what the potentially opportunity could look like in Birmingham for a Banking Partner.

Profile

It's likely that you will be an existing Banking Partner with strong relationships and a following. However, the team are equally happy to speak to ambitious Senior Associates/Principal Associates/Legal Directors who have the appetite to develop a team and step into their first Partnership role.
