Head of Legal, Listed Multinational, Dubai

As the world's largest manufacturer in their field, a re-structure and growth of territories has triggered this clients need for a new Head of Legal position in Dubai. We have an exclusive mandate to work with them, having helped them establish their original legal team.

ROLE: You will join as a senior lawyer and work as a key corporate, commercial and compliance representative business partner. You will be responsible for day-to-day structuring and drafting of commercial agreements with customers, partnering with regional business leadership, handling external litigation as well as employment, tax, IP, regulatory and compliance issues. Joining part of their locally based Executive Committee (which reports to Europe) you'll need strong leadership skills and a robust but collaborate approach.

CANDIDATE: There are some key criteria for strong candidates to fulfil:

* You'll need to be a qualified lawyer with at least 8+ years' of post qualified experience.
* In-house experience in a multinational sales industry would be highly valued (eg FMCG).
* Whilst knowledge of Arabic and French are not needed, they are always helpful in any capacity.
* Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and general multinational standard business acumen.
* Blended legal and compliance experience would be ideal.
* You'll need the skill set of a general corporate and commercial lawyer but be able to lend experience to other areas such as IP and employment (or whatever it might be).
* You don't need to be based in Dubai right now, but Middle East and Africa experience will help immensely.
