Derivatives Lawyer - 12 month FTC

A international Bank is looking for a Derivatives Lawyer on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Derivatives Lawyer to join a dynamic team in London. In this role you will advise on a broad range of work supporting all business lines on derivatives and trading work.

Key duties include:

• Assist and support Head of Department over a critical 12-month period of growth and development
• Focus on derivative matters, primarily strengthening and developing the current processes and procedures across the Bank's ISDA negotiations
• Act as the Bank's subject matter expert in relation to all aspects of ISDA, CSA and derivative matters
• Assist with the negotiation of ISDA agreements - bilateral and loan linked ISDA legal support
• Ability to drive ISDA legal risk understanding across key stakeholders and departments to manage legal risk effectively
• Provide legal support to the various internal departments and branch offices, with a focus on the corporate finance business unit
• Brief and manage external counsel to budget and ensure the quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness
• Assist Head of Department on legal risk management projects including drafting and implementing relevant policies and procedures as required
• Represent Legal where required at various Committee meetings in derivative matters

You will be a UK qualified solicitor (or commonwealth equivalent) with at least 3 years PQE advising on ISDA, CSA and derivatives.
