Salary: £60,000 - £70,000+

This FTSE 250 listed company are well known as one of the leading businesses in the UK Water Sector, providing water and wastewater services throughout the Southwest.

The in-house legal team is growing. They are looking for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join the collaborative, diverse team. The team covers a wide range of legal matters including data protection, litigation, property and regulatory.

In this role, you would be responsible for providing support to all parts of company with varied commercial issues such as purchasing and tendering needs, providing solutions to supplier issues, work on settling issues before the need for litigation, creating precedents and standardisation of contracts, advising on smart purchasing agreements as well as construction NEC contracts and more. As a more senior solicitor, you would be responsible for the teams complex matters.

The ideal Solicitor will have a minimum of 4 years of experience within Commercial matters and the ability to work confidently and independently. Prior experience within the Water Industry is not essential however experience with regulatory matters is essential as the company are regulated by 3 separate external regulators so these matters are commonly advised on.

Previous experience can be within private practice or in house. The majority of the legal team have a private practice background but wanted to step away from the traditional restraints and structure of a private practice team. Within this team, no two days look the same.

This role can be carried out from the Exeter or Bristol office in a hybrid fashion (2/3 days at the office 2/3 days working remotely from home).

The benefits package is fantastic, 26 days annual leave + bank holidays which increases with service, Health benefits such as employee assistance, pension scheme your contribution at 3% and company contributes 7%. There is also a 5% annual bonus which is payable once a year in July.
