Huddersfield
£20,000-£26,000
Our client, an award winning and Leading 500 firm are looking to recruit a Private Client Paralegal to join their Wills and Probate team in Huddersfield.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity not to be missed, for a Private Client Paralegal looking to join a busy yet successful team. As the newly appointed Private Client Paralegal your role will include but not be exclusive to:
- Working closing with solicitors in the department
- Assisting with the day-to-day administration associated with the Private Client Caseload
- Ensuring that cases progress
- Drafting wills and codicils using established precedents.
- Drafting powers of attorney, including Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Drafting probate and trust related deeds and documents using established precedents.
- Dealing with correspondence and liaising directly with clients and third parties.
- Liaising with clients by telephone and email
- Attending client meetings
- Liaising with 3rd parties such as Financial Advisors, banks and HMRC;
- Completing Inheritance Tax returns
- Reconciling accounts and recording movements of money on behalf of the estate
- Using both general IT packages (MS Office) and our client’s specialist probate Software and case management systems (Intelliworks and Liberate)
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will be a highly motivated, Legal Assistant/Paralegal with hands on experience of handling Private Client matters.
In addition, you will have :
- A “can do attitude” to work and be a proactive team player.
- Have the ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- The ability to demonstrate a genuine interest in all things “Private Client”
- Empathy towards clients , self-confidence, patience and understanding
- Effective communication skills - both oral and written.
- Previous work history in a similar environment
The successful candidate will enjoy a busy hands-on support role. You will be a conscientious, proactive and a thorough team player who takes pride in delivering quality work.
