A well established East Yorkshire firm are looking for an experienced Legal Accounts Clerk to join their office in Hull.
 
As the successful candidate you will join a team of 4 experienced Accounts Clerks in an office environment that is busy and nonstop. The team are very supportive and always look to help each other when ever they can.
 
The role will give you the opportunity to learn all functions within the Accounts team, and develop skills across the business. There is massive amounts of career development available.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Twice Daily bank reconciliations - Allocating money into Clients/Office
Accounts, and client Ledgers.
• Working on online banking system – Constantly reviewing transactions.
• Daily banking; Inputting bank cheques into office and client account and
taking card payments. Physically paying in cheques and cash into the bank
account; or delegating to juniors.
• Inputting postage costs, received from the post room daily, (ODN)
• Checking and processing of invoices from transaction requisitions (OPD) and
allocating to ledgers.
• Checking and processing disbursement journals (DTD) onto client files
• Filing of all daily work before leaving
• Closing files
• Maintaining and organising of filing in the archive room
• Working alongside the credit controller to manage debts.
• Credit Card - Produce the monthly report and review all invoices to ensure
they meet HMRC requirements and internal policies
 
There will be secondary duties like petty cash and assisting with reporting etc.
 
You need to be enthusiastic and motivated, with a willingness to learn.
