In-House Legal Counsel - Global Professional Services Firm - London - 1-4 years' PQE

About the Role

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the Global Office of General Counsel team in London!  Working closely with the Group General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel and collaborating on a day-to-day basis with colleagues worldwide, you will perform both a wide-ranging ‘hands on’ and advisory role within a dynamic and diverse global workplace.

You will: 

  • Advise on a wide range of legal issues - transactions, intellectual property, data protection, insurance, conflicts, governance and company secretarial – in collaboration with the Risk & Compliance and the Office of the General Counsel teams
  • Advise colleagues y in locations all around the world on day-to-day legal issues arising in the provision of client services
  • As a representative of the Office of the General Counsel, liaise with group senior executives on a range of legal matters
  • Assist on contentious legal practice matters in conjunction with outside counsel
  • Liaise with colleagues on variations requested to terms of engagement and any ensuing legal issues
  • Review and assist in the negotiation of third party vendor contracts
  • Research legal and regulatory developments and issues
  • Review and update precedent client agreements and internal legal documents
  • Review and update Group policies and procedures

 Suitable Applicants

Our client is looking for the following:

  • UK/common law qualified trained and qualified Solicitor;
  • Strong academic record;
  • From 1-4 years’ PQE in company/commercial/commercial contracts law at a top-tier law firm or similar;
  • Happy to be based in or near to London.

Prior in-house experience, whilst useful, is not a pre-requisite to application!
