We have an exciting new opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to join this litigation specialist US law firm based in stunning offices close to Chancery Lane.

 

Due to continuous growth, this newly created role will see the Management Accountant report directly into the CFO in their US Headquarters whilst working directly with the London COFA & COLP. The firm will offer a generous salary of up to £80,000 and benefits as well as an agile working policy of 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

 

The role will head up the London and non-US offices statutory accounting and audit functions and requires an individual who enjoys an autonomous role who can grow with the London office.

 

Duties include;

 

• Annual review of firm financials in preparation of the statutory audit

• Annual Companies House statutory financial audit

• Annual SRA regulatory reporting

• Annual PSA return (P-11D is handled by Payroll but some involvement required)

• Quarterly and annual VAT reporting

• Assistance with annual Profit Tax return

• Assistance with annual ERM SECR reporting

• Periodic SRA AML reporting

• Assistance with Intangible reporting / Country-by-Court reporting

• Processing various journal entries

• Review of monthly account reconciliations (this may be carried out by existing Accounts Assistant)

working with COFA in relation to establishing and updating procedures to ensure regulatory compliance, monitoring compliance with those procedures and addressing incidences of non-compliance

• Some ad hoc reporting and finance-based projects

 

Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

 

Candidates will be ACCA/ACA qualified with minimum of 5 years' experience in a statutory management accounting focused role working for an International law firm. You will also have;

 

• Experience with Elite 3E, if not, Elite Enterprise

• Current knowledge of SRA and VAT rules

• Strong level Excel skills

• Microsoft SQL skill would be a plus (query only level – no coding needed
