Pure Search are instructed by a leading US firm looking to grow their Commercial Technology and Data Protection practice with two key hires at the mid-senior level.
The Firm:
Having recently brought in a highly-regarded Technology and Data Partner with a track record at leading US law firms, we are working closely with this partner to grow their Commercial Tech and Data Protection practice.
The firm have a full-service offering with over 30 offices globally and a genuinely global footprint. Their London office is their largest in EMEA and they have a culture of collaboration between offices, particularly across their telecoms, sports, media and technology sector groups.
They are notably well-known for acting for a number of sports professionals, comedians, fast-growing technology companies and governments on a global scale, creating a fascinating and diverse mix of work on a daily basis.
The Role:
Our client is looking for a 'solid pair of hands" with extensive experience of technology transactions and a solid grasp of data protection, crypto, AI, blockchain and advising disruptive technology businesses.
The team are considered as one of the elite firms in the technology space. You will be joining a well-balanced team at partner level and the junior level where there is a clear gap for two mid-senior associates to come in and make an impression, which will lead to an obstructed and clear path towards partnership. These hires are being made with partnership prospects in mind, as early as 8PQE.
Recent work within the team includes:
- Advising a US incorporated business that scans social media to identify individuals posing a threat to society;
- Advising a luxury motor brand on connected cars initiatives and disruptive technology;
- Advising global media brands in respect of adtech, cloud and web services.
About You:
You will have a minimum of 3-years post-qualification experience in a commercial technology role, with exposure to data protection matters. You will be looking for a step up to an international practice and one of the leading names in the market, where you will be backed and supported to progress towards partnership.
