The Client
Our client, a leading investment bank is looking for a lawyer to join their structuring/structured products legal team. The successful candidate will work closely with the business team, providing critical legal advice on bespoke transactions and be an integral part of one of the leading teams in the City.
The role:
You will be joining a team in varied role performing the following responsibilities:
- Support the business from a legal perspective on the structuring of bespoke products such as complex structured notes, warrants and certificates, repackaging transactions Providing advice on cross border distribution legal matters of these products Help the business with mitigating legal risk Reviewing and negotiating associated legal documentation Liaising with external counsel when required
The ideal candidate
- Must be a qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction, ideally 3 years’ PQE+ experience advising on the structuring of financial markets products. Candidates with transferrable skills from leverages finance, collateralised derivatives, securitisation, experience working on SPV structures will also be considered. Experience working on repacks would be a plus not a prerequisite Experience working within a law firm or within an in-house legal department at a similar organisation.
*Candidates outside of the PQE bracket with the right experience will also be considered for the position
