Claims Handler job for leading law firm - Newport/Hybrid working

Your new firm

Our client is a leading law firm known for their forward-thinking attitude. They work with clients across a range of industry sectors and are market-leaders in the insurance, health and real estate industries. Due to the recent success of their Insurance and Risk teams, they are looking to recruit to a number of positions within their Claims Handling team in Newport on a permanent basis. Hybrid working is available however it is anticipated that you will be in the office 2-3 days a week, therefore you will likely live within a commutable distance or be looking to relocate.

Your new role
The team has a progressive approach and a market leading reputation for not simply tackling claims, but also for tracking and analysing behaviours and trends with a view to providing their clients with bespoke strategies and analysis of changing market behaviours.

Within this role, you will manage your own caseload of pre- litigated cases in the motor department and negotiate claims for liability and damages on pre litigation cases. You will also act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.

Given the size of the team and number of clients they work with, there is a real opportunity for growth and development. Progression can either be by technical development, building client relationships and/or progression to a supervisor or managerial role.

What you'll need to succeed
We are keen to hear from LLB/LPC/BTC graduates however you do not have to have prior experience as a Claims Handler/Paralegal or a legal qualification in order to apply. What is essential are great customer service and IT and organisation skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team. All relevant experience in similar roles or areas of practice is desirable but not essential and we are happy to hear from all candidates who feel they would be a good fit.

Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program to give you the knowledge to succeed.

What you'll get in return
This incredible opportunity will allow you to develop your experience within a highly successful and well-known environment, with support and working alongside industry experts. You will also receive a market salary, the option of hybrid working, as well as other benefits.

Please contact Harriet Chapman or Ellie Livingstone at Hays Legal for further information on this opportunity.
