Paralegal
An excellent opportunity has arisen in-house at a private equity firm for a paralegal.
The Firm
The firm are headquartered in the US and are rapidly expanding, with a focus on growing their London office, so it is an exciting time to join.
The Team
You will be the second legal hire in London and work with an exceptionally talented general counsel who trained and practiced at a top tier US firm before being headhunted for this role.
You will work closely with the legal team in the US and also the governance team in London.
The Role
This will be a varied paralegal role where you can look forward to assisting on a range of transactional, commercial and advisory matters including:
- Drafting NDAs, engagement letters and consultancy agreements
- Incorporating entities and drafting and filing all related documents
- Advising on regulatory and compliance issues for transactions
- Managing transaction documents
- Performing due diligence
- Conducting KYC checks
- Liaising with external counsel
With time, you can look forward to taking on more responsibility as you will be working so closely with the GC.
The Requirements
The successful paralegal will need strong academics including a 2.1 in their law degree and ideally have completed the LPC with relevant corporate electives.
Experience in a similar in-house paralegal role would be ideal, however they are also very open to a paralegal who is currently at a top 50/US law firm in private equity, M&A or corporate who is looking to gain in-house experience.
