Billing Assistant - The billing team of this leading law firm is looking for a billing assistant on a fixed term contract to help support the busy department. You will provide vital assistance by performing a range of tasks to ensure client bills are produced in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the correct procedures and policies.

  • Previous Experience: Some experience in the billing team of an established law firm would be useful. Attention to detail is crucial.

Range of duties / tasks

The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties in the team including:

  • triggering of final bills;
  • processing write-offs;
  • assisting with the despatch of bills to clients;
  • manual updating of the billing system;
  • investigating bill discrepancies;
  • liaising with our fee earners and stakeholders where necessary to retrieve more information;
  • Process disbursements.

This is a busy department within a high-performance law firm. Prioritisation skills and attention to detail are key skills.

Ideally someone who can work speedily and accurately in a busy team. Good communication skills are also important as well as possessing a general sense of urgency about their day-to-day tasks.
