Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting to a fantastic opportunity for a Childcare Solicitor to join a well-respected local authority based in Wales.
The Childcare Solicitor role will be for an initial 3-6-month period, with a possibility of extension. As a Childcare Solicitor you will be confident in carrying your own caseload of care proceedings, as well as pre-proceeding matters. Main duties will include:
- Handing a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on all aspects of public law children matters
- Conducting own advocacy where possible
- Drafting documents, including statements and threshold agreements
- Creating and maintaining court bundles
The ideal candidate will have previous local authority experience, however this is not essential. Some attendance to court may be required as some hearings have returned to in-person attendance.
