We have a strategic and confidential mandate from a rated law firm in the Caribbean. Our client is an established offshore law firm, highly-rated in its practice areas, and with ambitious plans for future growth. This is a new growth role (as of November 2022) for a Corporate lawyer, alongside the Partners, to help drive forward the firm's offering in this area. As such, we are looking for a lawyer who is confident in their technical and client ability, and will have the ambition to eventually move up to partnership.
The work will be a broad range of high-end corporate and also commercial matters such as major cross-border and local sales and purchases, governance, joint ventures, and all other manner of corporate and commercial deals and advice. You will likely be a high-calibre England and Wales-qualified Corporate lawyer at a London or other UK firm, with solid experience and a stable career history. We will also consider lawyers qualified elsewhere in the Commonwealth. Please note that whilst previous offshore experience is welcome, it is not essential. A strong enthusiasm and ability in business development is sought.
You will have at least 8 years' PQE, up to ideally 14 years' PQE, although we will consider good candidates at a more senior level. This is a fantastic opportunity with clear career prospects for a Corporate lawyer to move to a highly-desirable location in the Caribbean offering quality work, world-class beaches and a high standard of living, together with a competitive salary and great tax benefits.
Please contact Philip Jennings directly, and in confidence to be considered and to hear more more.
Jameson Legal acts as an employment business for temporary recruitment and as an employment agency for fixed term contract and permanent recruitment.
Please note: Where a level of experience, such as 'PQE', is indicated, please note that this is a guideline only and represents the amount of time we would usually expect a candidate to accumulate the requisite level of experience. This does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience
