Senior Prosecutions Solicitor, Cambridgeshire – Are you seeking a more rewarding role? Enviable training and development opportunities for individuals interested in a career in Prosecutions.
JOB TITLE: Senior Prosecutions Solicitor
LOCATION: Cambridgeshire
SALARY: £48,000 - £55,500

THE ROLE:
Our client is offering an outstanding career opportunity for experienced Solicitors or Barristers seeking a change in career direction. This role is particularly suited to those with a criminal law, child protection or domestic abuse background who are keen to use their expertise to offer support and justice to victims.

We are currently recruiting for multiple Solicitors or Barristers to join a specialist unit of a high-profile organisation to forge a particularly rewarding career in Prosecutions.

With no duty rotas or out of hours requirements, this role offers an attractive work-life balance in comparison to traditional private practice opportunities, allowing the individual to focus on quality of work and level of service delivered. This role will involve liaising with multiple agencies and stakeholders, case preparation, review and advisory work, offering the opportunity to work from home at least 2-3 days per week. Your workload will be without doubt challenging but also varied, intellectually stimulating, and highly rewarding.

A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes the start of your career as a Senior Prosecutions Lawyer a seamless and well supported transition. You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team environment where everyone is given the encouragement, support, and opportunity to succeed, deliver the highest standards of service and work with a large degree of autonomy.

THE CANDIDATE:
This role is open to Solicitors and Barristers holding a practising certificate in England and Wales. You are likely to have upwards of 2 years of experience in criminal law, child protection law or domestic abuse and will be passionate about this area of law.

The ability to make solid and well-reasoned decisions is essential for this role, in addition to having exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Empathy and emotional intelligence are absolutely critical and your ability to vary your communication style to your audience will be essential. You will be expected to demonstrate a desire to learn new areas of work and an aptitude for legal reasoning throughout the interview process. High intellectual capacity and the ability to employ independent, logical thought processes will also be key to success in this role.
