One of the UK's leading, regional, full-service law firms with a strong presence in the East Midlands is recruiting for a solicitor to join their top ranking and fast growing Public Sector Team in Nottingham
The Team
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high ranking team and provide quality legal advice and support to local authorities and other public sector clients on a wide range of matters relating to property, planning, procurement, commercial and local government law.
The Role
· Working within the core public sector team you will have the opportunity to work independently with your own caseload; as well as part of the wider team and other specialist departments who are there to help and support.
· You will have the opportunity to bring your knowledge and passion for the public sector to work.
· With a variety of work on major projects across the country you will have the opportunity to not only get involved through the team in the office; but also to visit clients in their locations and find out more about how they work and the challenges that they face to ensure that you have the right priorities when it comes to supporting them.
· With the help of the team and the other departments this will allow you to deliver comprehensive legal advice to clients.
About You
· Qualified Solicitor - 3+ years PQE
· Ideally experience in public sector or commercial property law either from a law firm or inhouse
· Bring a knowledge and passion for the public sector
· Have experience of giving legal advice to officers in public sector organisations and preparing legal documentation using precedents.
· You should also be able to demonstrate an interest in developing inter-disciplinary legal skills
· You must also be prepared to assist with our client relationship and training programmes

· 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
