Description
The successful Banking & Finance Lawyer will be responsible for providing day-to-day advice on a range of matters, as well as drafting and negotiating an array of relevant documentation. Some relevant matters include:
- Advising on General Finance (Bilateral, Syndicated), Trade Finance (import & export), Supply Chain Finance, and Payment Services products to corporate customers.
- Advising corporate capacity documentation, in order to monitor capacity and faculties of customers.
- Ensuring that the Branch complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements (other than those overseen by the Branch's compliance officer).
- Drafting & negotiating standard banking contracts - i. onboarding documents, account opening and deposits, online banking, transfers, direct debits, cash pooling and swift messages).
- Corporate lending, both general and corporate (including loans, credit lines, overdrafts etc)
Profile
Our client are searching for a qualified Banking & Finance Lawyer who has a solid basis of knowledge of a range of relevant financial services matters, particularly in relation to Lending (syndicated & Bilateral) and Trade/Supply Chain Finance. Prior experience working at a similar in-house organisation would be beneficial, but is by no means a necessity.
