The Role

This Top 100 UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor with experience in securitisation matters to join at the Associate Level in its City of London office.

This practice is well known for its work in property law and the Securitisation team is at the heart of the firm - with 4 partners, 11 solicitors and 1 Legal Executive. The team operate on property transactions across a broad range of clients from registered providers of social housing to charities and private developers.

The developments you work on will vary from smaller transactions involving a few units to large-scale work covering thousands of units.

You will specialise in acting on behalf of registered providers in the charging of properties to lenders under loan facilities, bonds and private placements with values ranging from £1m to £500m. The charging work requires the production of a certificate of title to the lender, dealing with any conditions precedent or conditions subsequent required to enable the client to draw down funds.

Other work will involve assisting the Deeds of Variation team. You will negotiate with third parties to achieve charging at full value in situations in which legal documents are insufficient to allow for charging or certain document restrict the amount of funding that can be attributed to the property.

Requirements

• England & Wales qualified solicitor with NQ-2 years PQE
• Experience in property law and ideally of charging properties to lenders
• Comfortable with client contact
• Able to independently run own files
