One of our fantastic US Law Firm clients who are based in heart of the city, are looking to hire a new Legal PA to start as soon as possible and work in the Litigation team on an initial 3-month basis (with a possibility of extension), supporting at least 1 Partner and a team of Associates.  This role will be to work 3 days in the office, 2 from home, working the hours 9.30am – 5.30pm. A salary of up to £52,000 pro rata is on offer plus great benefits.

 

Responsibilities will include creating and preparing documents with accuracy and completeness, transcribing handwritten materials and/or dictation, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets and so forth. Organisational responsibilities will include coordinating arrangements for client and non-client meetings (including conference room reservations, multimedia and meals with Conference Centre), scheduling and maintaining Attorneys’ calendars, maintaining names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and other pertinent information in the Firm’s client contact database program, preparing matter opening, conflict checks and arranges for matter closings and coordinating with the Support Services for file retrieval.  Maintenance of the Firm’s master files for all matters on which the attorney works (inputting, reviewing and editing Attorney/paralegal time sheets on a timely basis through the Firm’s time entry program), arranging for necessary transfers with appropriate Billing Specialist, performing narrative edits on prebills through the Firm's accounting system, submitting expenses for repayment through Chrome River, arranging for payment of invoices or cheques to be drawn and charged to appropriate client/matter numbers.  Other duties include coordinating travel arrangements with the firm's approved travel provider along with participation in departmental project teams and task forces for streamlining workflow initiatives.

 

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a legal Secretarial capacity, previous commercial litigation experience is essential and candidates must have strong organisational, communication and technical skills.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm and a salary of up to £52,000 is on offer, depending on experience.
