Our client is an award-winning group financial service group, with more than 50 billion AUD under management. Their legal team is expanding, and they are looking for an experienced lawyer to join the team to be based either in their Melbourne or Sydney offices, reporting directly to the Head of Legal Investments.
This is a wonderful role, where the Senior Legal Counsel must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across the investment spectrum. This includes areas such as M&A, funds and investment work, particularly within the property and infrastructure sectors. There will also be the opportunity to participate in the direct investment matters such as offshore JV arrangements.
Successful candidates must have experience in corporate M&A or funds, where you must be familiar with debt and equity syndication management, including associated LPA compliance and related co-investment documentation execution. You must also provide company support with bolt-on acquisitions, governance arrangements, risk & regulatory matters on key legal projects, amongst other day-to-day responsibilities.
Applicants must have a legal qualification from Australia with at least 8 years' experience at an international law firm, or from an internationally recognised business within financial services and the relevant competencies noted above.
Renumeration: 180k - 270k AUD per annum / £100,000 - £150,000 per annum + benefits
