This is a newly created Assistant Company Secretary within a FTSE 250 business. The successful post holder will support the Deputy Company Secretary and the Company Secretary and General Counsel across a broad range of company secretarial duties.

Assistant Company Secretary - FTSE 250

Role:

• Provide support to Company Secretary & Group General Counsel and Deputy Company Secretary
• Working as a close team to build and enhance confidence and reputation with the Board, Committees and NEDs by delivering proactive, effective company secretarial support and tasks.
• Manage a portfolio of entities across different jurisdictions and provide statutory compliance work
• Responsible for the Company Share Schemes - dealing with all aspects of shareholder registration queries, reports and payment of dividends
• Carry out statutory filings
• Assist with the planning and organising of the AGM
• Support with aspects of the Annual Report
• Responsible for updating corporate structure charts

Essential:

• Strong working background from within a Company Secretarial role
• CGI qualified or willingness to become qualified
• Good knowledge of UK Corporate Governance Code and Companies Act 2006
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Self motivated, as well as a strong team player with a keen sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement
• Exceptional organisational skills
