Planning Solicitor | Tier 1 Planning team | Manchester | Salary £51,000 - £70,000 per annum
A rare opening within a highly sought-after, prestigious law firm for a Planning Solicitor to join a Tier 1 Planning team; this role offers the successful candidate the chance to further their legal career in the Property and Planning sector, working with and learning from the best.
The Law Firm:
- An international law firm with offices in Manchester.
- Their reputation within the legal industry is second to none and they are looking for a Planning Solicitor to join their expanding team.
The Role:
As the new Planning Solicitor, you will be placed in a client-facing role from the outset, handling some cases on your own, whilst aiding with others. You will have exposure to the full range of planning matters including:
- Regeneration projects, including re-purposing of town centres
- New housing settlements
- Planning appeals
- Environmental impact assessment
- Judicial reviews and High Court and Appeal Court proceedings
- Drafting and negotiation of planning and highways agreements
- Planning due diligence on corporate and real estate acquisitions and disposals, working closely with corporate and real estate colleagues
- Promoting Development Consent Orders and Transport and Works Act Orders for major infrastructure projects
- Promoting compulsory purchase orders and exercising CPO powers
- CPO compensation claims, including cases in the Upper Tribunal
- Listed building and conservation area issues
- Highway issues
Your Profile:
- You will be a Planning Solicitor of between 0-2 PQE.
