THE ROLE
A lawyer to join the Projects and Construction (Energy and Sustainability) team which advises on a range of energy related projects focused on the UK market.
This covers real estate related energy infrastructure - covering everything from utility connections through to on-site renewable energy generation, power purchase agreements, the transition to electric vehicles and the development of district heating networks.
The team advises on wider energy efficiency and decarbonisation retrofit, working with clients to bring together blended funding to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
This team is a core part of the firm's Responsible Business initiative, working with clients to reduce carbon footprints, build aligned supply chains and incorporate climate-related drafting in wider contracts. That covers projects aimed at delivering Net Zero targets, and also wider ESG driven initiatives
THE CANDIDATE
A great opportunity for a lawyer with 2-4pqe to focus on the development of the domestic energy market.
You should already have experience of advising on heat networks and renewable energy projects as well as on power purchase arrangements and supply/generation licence requirements,
