BUSINESS & LEGAL AFFAIRS MANAGER - TV (SCRIPTED)

Our client is an independent TV production company which has an impressive drama slat. The business is going from strength to strength and is looking for a business and legal affairs manager to join their collegiate and friendly team.

In this role you will report into a Senior business and legal affairs manager as you focus on developing and maintaining a network of relationships across the business. You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of development and production related agreements.

You will ideally be as comfortable negotiating a book deal for a best-selling author as you will handling an overseas production services agreement or an A-list actor or director deal or reviewing complex chain of title documents. Working closely with the editorial teams to support their development slates and with the production management team to ensure productions have the necessary BA and legal support.

You will provide production teams with clear and timely advice on clearance and other legal and BA matters, referring queries to other BA team members or colleagues within the wider ITV legal and BA team where appropriate. While the majority of your workload will be your own deals, you will also be comfortable in supporting the Head of BA and other colleagues with drafting long form agreements from agreed deal terms.

To be successful you will be a qualified solicitor, or equivalent, and have good grounding in TV production.
You will be nurtured and supported in this highly valued business and legal affairs team. The role will give you a chance to work closely with highly respected and experienced senior lawyers who have a huge amount of industry experience and would be great mentors to learn from.

This role is London based (Central) with hybrid working and an expectation to be in 2 days a week. This would be ideal for someone who is looking for a new challenge and wants to learn in a creative, dynamic, and supportive environment.
