In-house Counsel - automotive

A major global brand in the manufacturing, tech and automotive sphere is seeking to add a Legal Counsel to the team - Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire, with home-working.

Working alongside a highly experienced, well-equipped legal team, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing commercial legal advice to all areas of their top tier Research & Development facility, which focuses on bringing new designs, products and technology to market. In this position the work will include:

- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, including supply of equipment and services, R&D agreements, outsourcing, IT agreements and NDAs.
- Advising key stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Assisting on Intellectual Property queries.
- Advising the business on major international events and their impact on the business, including global parts shortages, the conflict in Ukraine and Brexit.

This is an opportunity to learn from the Head of Legal, who started with the company in this same position, as well as take on genuine responsibility which would prepare the individual well for senior "Head of" positions further down the line, with this person responsible for handling their own external spend as well as taking legal ownership for a key area of this popular international brand.

This position would suit a c-4 PQE Commercial Lawyer (although it is open to other PQE levels) looking to take on more responsibility in a highly supportive environment, working at the cutting edge of manufacturing and automotive. Any experience of IP matters would also be beneficial.
