Be an integral part of the insolvency team

The hiring managers are looking for an ambitious and talented insolvency solicitor with roughly 1 PQE to 5 PQE. You will ideally come from a recognised insolvency practice and looking to develop your career further. They are looking for a commercial and collaborative lawyer, capable of working with colleagues at all levels.

More about the work

The team advises on UK insolvency work involving everything from administrations and CVAs to all forms of receivership and liquidation as well as claims under The Insolvency Act and instances of fraud. Lawyers also advise on multi-jurisdictional work involving highly complex company structures.

This is a leading corporate / commercial law firm with a thriving corporate restructuring and insolvency practice. Examples of work include:

  • Acting for the liquidators of an investment fund involving a complex instance of fraud. The case necessitated an order from the High Court in London so that the liquidation of the fund could be recognised as a foreign proceeding under the Cross Border Insolvency Regulations.
  • Ensuring the release of a major asset during a complex administration which required applications in both the English and French courts as well as dealing with various claims of rights over that asset.
  • Advising a major aviation company on the purchase of another significant business out of insolvency.
  • Acting for a trustee in bankruptcy of a major retail brand in investigating and realising the assets and assisting in realising the same, as well as advising on various claims, including in the Court of Appeal.

The team is well-structured ensuring that solicitors at the start of their career benefit from maximum exposure and support whilst being encouraged to make a tangible contribution.
