Our well-known UK Law Firm client has opened the search for a Head of Knowledge Management to join them in their successful London office on a permanent, part-time basis working 3 or 4 days a week. The role will report directly into the Knowledge, Learning & Development Director and sits in the firms Knowledge, Learning & Development team.

 

The Head of Knowledge Management will be expected to be responsible for the Firms Knowledge Management function and ensure that the strategies implemented are successful and are always, in line with the firms’ overall goals alongside the overall management of the Knowledge Management team. The Head of Knowledge Management will set and deliver the strategy and be a main point of contact for all queries throughout the firm. This will involve leading on projects to increase service, efficiency, and success of the Firm in all areas. The Head of Knowledge Management will work with Learning & Development teams to assist in the development of Talent within the firms Legal and Business Services teams and will involve setting budgets for this function. To achieve this the Head of Knowledge Management will also maintain the firms Library function and will aid in the development of best research techniques and mange the firms Knowledge resources this will involve working closely with service providers. The Head of Knowledge Management would suit a candidate that is technologically minded and will be able to work closely with the senior members of the IT Department and will strive for innovation firmwide. The candidate will work with the firms Marketing & BD teams in order to define the firm’s client facing knowledge in order to improve the firm’s relationship with its clients.

 

Candidates will need to have strong Knowledge Management experience and be aware of trends within the Knowledge Management sector and wider markets, along with experience of leading change and innovation while working alongside some of the Firms most senior stakeholders. The Head of Knowledge Management must be sensitive to confidential information, always working with tact and diplomacy, whilst being proactive and prepared to work to their initiative.
